Windshield Wiper Motor
I am a new member and need a little help. I have a 2005 XLT and had to replace the Windshield Wiper Motor Linkage. I got the linkage and motor back in, but the wipers are working different then before.
Instead of the normal up and down movement, when turned on, they first go down and then back up. They also don't go as far up as before. I'm wondering if I got the wrong linkage or maybe aligned the linkage/transmission wrong with the motor. Any ideas?

Assuming you did get the correct parts;
You must have re-assembled the linkages improperly. You say the wipers start downwards before moving up? How far down? When you turn off the wipers, do they stop in the down position?
