I'll be honest. I just gorilla glued mine in place, down the windshield, when it came apart from the clips instead of just replacing the clips and the moulding.

That seems like it would make replacing the windshield much more difficult.

Not really. Just pull up from the bottom, entire moulding comes off, then replace that when the windshield gets replaced, too.

Gorilla glue isn't as "gorilla-like" as you think. It expands, but there's still massive void space behind that moulding.

If you gorilla glue it in three or four areas, even removing it isn't hard. It will come off in one piece and can be put back on if your insurance won't cover replacing it along with the windshield.

Or you can just suck it up buttercup and either do the work to replace the clips now, or do it later when you need to get all of that stuff done anyway.

I'm hoping to pull the trim pieces off a parts truck I've got a lead on. It should be a fun project.

I have two new moldings to install since mine are beat up around the windshield. ford includes new clips with the molding if you buy new ones. the section on the roof comes pre installed withdouble sided tape.
Do you know the part number for the double sided tape? and/or where to get it?

The double sided tape is included on/with the trim from motorcraft. I have found that the spot nearest the A-Frame and visor is where my tape is that's failed due to three new windshield replacements.

These parts are $175 ish currently. Sad face

Here's a link to each side from eBay that I've been monitoring for over a year.
