I would say at least take it in to their garage, whoever you choose. I saw these guys replacing someone's windshield in the parking lot and it was violent and fast. They were ripping and cutting and kicking at the windshield. I guess they got paid by the job and were trying to get a lot in. I imagine its more convenient to get them to replace it while you are at work.

May be a bit more relaxed, quality work atmosphere when its in a garage...

if they are independently owned, they can charge whatever. the going rate up here is around 200-250 installed at the cheaper places, all the way to 500 for the same install. has alot to with quantity of installs, hence number of windshields they get, more they buy, less they pay, more savings for the consumer.
