Default Window Switch (Another one!)

2007, 5.4L, XLT.

None of my windows will roll up/down. I have;

-Cleaned the switch on the drivers side (didn't solve the problem)

-Replaced the switch on the drivers side (didn't solve the problem)

-Replaced the 30a fuse (didn't solve the problem)

Lock switch and mirror adjust switch work fine. It's just the windows.

Any other suggestions on what the next step should be?

Thanks!

Look at the wires that pass through the drivers side door jamb. A lot of times they can rub through their insulation and ground themselves out.

^^^This is the cure. A simple forum search would have yielded numerous threads already on this fix.

Checked wires in door jamb, they are good. Tested the switch with circuit tester and all of them are getting power.

Do you have a SCab or SCrew? Will any of your other windows roll down using the switch on that door, not the master switch on the driver's door?

The owner's manual actually says there's a circuit breaker supplying power to the windows...is that what you already replaced? Does your "accessory" power point have power right now? That'd be the power point that is only on when the truck is running or the key is in acc.

I replaced the 30a fuse on the passenger side fuse box. If there in another circuit breaker I am not aware of it.

I also have power to the Accessory Power outlet.

There's a lot of back and forth in this article; but it walks through a lot of trouble shooting for your switch...since you say you have power at the switch it might be that your ground wire is broken in the door, not the power wire. It's not the easiest to read through; but I think this will definitely get you an answer:
