Default Window motor

I have a 05 f150 4.6 v8 Texas Edition. My front drivers side window went out. Can anyone tell me if I have to replace the whole power window assembly (regulator and motor) or can I replace the motor alone? Thanks

You can buy an entire motor and regulator assembly for almost the same price depending on the brand... And seeing how you have to remove the whole assembly anyways to change the motor alone, a whole new assembly might be easier...

When my motor went out, I bought a new assembly, got home, looked up a YouTube video on how to change it out and literally had it done in 15 minutes....

Its probably a broken wire in the driver door jamb. More common than the motor failing.

are you sure it's the motor ?? master panel control switch is a known problem in these trucks.

Any chance you have a buddy with an F150? It would take all of two minutes to check, just pop them off of the armrest. Otherwise I can give you the pinouts of the connector and you can jump them with a test wire.
