Default Window help!!

While trying to roll up my passenger window there was a loud thud or popping sound and the window dropped down into the door. Is this a failure of the regulator wire? Any help is appreciated, I'm trying to fix this asap before some dumbass wants to snoop around inside my truck

regulator. common problem. Supposedly doorman now makes one that may be better than factory replacement. Search feature is your friend and should pull up a how to.

I took off the panel and figured out that the cable for the window has come off the pulley system.. Anyone dealt with this particular problem. Or know the easiest way to deal with it?

Ya I've had that happen twice. The only thing you can do is replace the whole regulator.

Best thing to do is replace the regulator. As mentioned earlier, it is very common. If you try to fix the existing one and think it will last ... it wont. It will fail (not a matter of if, but when). It makes more sense to put in a new one and then wait for the others to fail.

Autozone, $140, install was quite easy actually.. Now I hope I never have to do it again!
