Default Will tow mirrors work???

I've been wanting to get tow mirrors for a while now and I'm about to pull the trigger. Only thing is that my 2008 f150 limited only has power windows and turn signals. I have the power fold option on the mirror toggle switch but i do not think that it is installed because it has never worked. I do not have heated mirrors either. The mirrors I've seen on amazon say... "Note:These mirrors will only work for vehicles with these exact options. If you do not have the options listed, these mirrors may not function properly." The options i do not have are puddle light and heated mirror... here is the link to the mirrors

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A1HUKFKSGZID4U

Just wondering if they will still work or if I will have to do extra wiring and how hard it could be. Thanks guys!

I put them on my 08 Lariat. Turn signals, puddle lights and heated function all work. I have not seen a set of power folding tow mirrors for our year trucks.

These say they're power folding. I remember seeing a couple others but not sure if I trust any of them.

I cannot understand how that possibly could have happened.

The heat option requires the defrost button on the dash HVAC panel. IF your truck did not come with heated mirrors then that button is not there either.

How did the heat option work with the new tow mirrors without the button? If you have the button then you already had heated mirrors, whether they worked or not is another story.

As long as the turn signals and power mirror adjustment (not power folding) still work that's fine with me. The puddle light would be cool if its already wired in my truck but if it's not I'm not gonna worry about that now.

My truck does not have a specific mirror defrost button. The mirrors are tied into the defrost setting for the HVAC. When I turn it to the defrost setting the mirrors defrost.

Thats not how our era of truck works. Heated mirrors are run from a switch. Turning to defrost simply moves a door to change heat direction.

No way your heated mirrors are working.

We have been over this on this site multiple times. Adding in heat to mirrors that was not there is a very involved process.

I have the same truck (just purchased but not announced yet and it does have heated mirrors and does have a defrost button. None were made with the defrost dial affecting the mirrors. There is no electrical connection there.

There is a defrost button below the dials, that operates just the mirror defrost. In my case it has rear window defrost button beside it as well.

Ok so if your truck does not have a rear defrost button then your heated mirrors will not work? My truck is a 2012 F150, i got a set of the heated mirrors from a 2013/2014 F150...So i guess I must decide to add in the Rear Defrost button, or assume that the mirrors hook up to the Defrost button ?????
