Default Will Mustang headers fit on a 5.4?

I've been talking to the parts guy at my local Ford dealership about headers.
I was originally wanting to throw a set of Ford Racing LT's on but I guess they were discontinued a few years ago.

I remembered hearing that some people will throw cobra headers on 5L's, so I asked the parts guy if there was something equivalent to doing so for my 5.4.
He said he's heard that some shortie headers off the 5.4 mustang would fit on my truck but he wasn't completely sure.
Can anybody confirm or deny this? Or know of some decent headers to throw on my 5.4? I'm redoing the whole exhaust system so I'm not all too concerned about long tubes or shorties but I want a set that won't crack on me again.

Thanks in advance for any help.

My question also. Certainly there must be application specific headers available from one or more of the major aftermarket manufacturers. Gibson, Borla and Hooker come to mind.

you need a new parts guy. The geometry on the 4.6 mustangs and the new 5.0's headers are completely different from the 5.4 f150s....

Your welcome I even had to double check....lol, and really I dont see why they wouldnt fit due to the mustang being tighter spaced but I would wonder about the down pipe connections but thats a lot of work just to try and find the problems......

Uhh I don't know who told you that. But the 4.6 and 5.4 share the exact same head bolt pattern when it comes to exhaust manifolds or headers. The coyote is a totally different motor. The main difference between the 4.6 and 5.4 3 V is about 1.5 inches in deck height. That is pretty much it. Oh and material of the block. But why would you when you can get specific headers for a 5.4 3V? Granted not long tubes but still. http://www.jbaheaders.com/feature_pages/f150new.asp
Here is a variety with the correct tubular bends for trucks

BTW GT500's have a 4V 5.4 and began their production run on the S197 platform in 2007.

I wasn't talking about the head bolt patterns, I was referring to the actual tube geometry. The mustang is a much tighter fit and the down pipe to the rest of the exhaust will most likely have to be custom made or modified to fit. Doesn't make economic sense, as you mentioned, when you can just get some made for the truck. My bad, should have elaborated
