Default Wierd one, truck acts like potato stuck in exhaust

Ok, listen to this.

I went out today for a haircut at lunch, truck ran like a dream. Parked it, came out and started the truck. Truck sounds like it has a flowmaster on it, lacks power, and at idle the doors are rattling. Feels/sounds like unbalanced engine and/or cylinder is misfiring. At idle it barely runs, if I give it gas it runs a little better but sounds like/feels like the exhaust is plugged.

Engine light is NOT on, and it's raining pretty good. Also low fuel light is on, so I stumble the truck to a gas station across the street to fill up(thinking low on gas or bad gas?). So, gas it up, still runs like pure crap, again, no check engine light.

I'm thinking I need to get this to the dealer ASAP, so I start driving there. 2-3 miles into the journey, the truck starts to run better. It now idles fine, but surges/stumbles at part and full throttle.

I drove back to work because now I can drive it, and it doesn't sound like the engine is about to shake itself apart.

What do I need to check/do? Plugs were changed 15k miles ago.

My thought too. Might have got lucky and it started working again as it dried out.

Have a look and change it if it looks corroded. That being said my truck tossed a couple codes when mine when out.

Just curious but does the FPDM gradually start to go out, or is it more like its working one moment and out the next. When mine went out I didn't notice a thing until all the sudden my truck would not start.

Mine went out a couple months ago after a very extensive car wash.(Road Salt) I drove it home from the wash with no problems until the next morning. I used the remote start and it fired right up. It ran about 10 min put it reverse hit the gas and nothing. Truck had zero power (almost like gas pedal wasn't functioning. The corrosion was so bad after I chipped it off I could see the internals. We have a car wash here that you pay $8 and the time is unlimited. Vacuums and all.

Thanks, I'll check the FPDM the next decent day. Truck runs OK now. I don't want to be stranded one day though so I'll take care of this sooner than later.
