Default Why haven't more done this? (Center Console)

Ok I decided I would bite the bullet and buy one of those over priced consoles for our trucks with column shifters. For some reason I searched a little more and found this:

I then asked my self why haven't more people done this? It seems more fluid and stylish and it is so much cheaper. I can go pick one up for $50 bucks right now vs. what $300 plus if I can find the factory option. Has anyone else here done the Expedition swap?

Lots do the swap to have a console shift, others that just want the console would probably like this as well. I'm curious where you can find this for $50?

Oh really I didn't realize that. I am going to get one from a part yard. Seems no one is checking for such an item so they don't care about it. Even on Ebay they are only $150ish.

Ok that's kind of what I figured. Ebay also has the consoles with the shifter out of these trucks for $150ish. I'd be if you could find one at a parts yard you could get it for about the same price. I would however bet that the Expedition consoles may be easier to find.

Decided to run and pick it up while the getting was good. Seems it came out of a flood car but who cares for $50 bucks and they removed it. Washed it off a little just to remove the mold and the debris. I have to dye it to match my interior so I will do a little more cleaning before that project starts. I also have some power door panels lined up for a sweet price but they will have to wait till tomorrow.

Nice snag, I swapped my jump seat for the non flow through center console for $75. Pulled it out of a part out truck.

Now your the lucky one because those cost a mint. Well $300 is a lot for this item to me. I have some new gauges, led lights and other items in the works also. Poor truck needs some love.

Would you mind uploading a pick angled from the back seat view? Are there cup holders back there as well? Good find dude! Thanks for the post!

It does but I don't need them because I have a regular cab.
