I would believe it if you stayed around 55 mph, that seems to be about the most efficient speed. I can tell a significant drop in mpg when I drive over 70 on trips.
I average around 18 mpg and I drive backroads to and from work mostly without any mods on mine. Also if you recently replaced the plugs then that would contribute. So getting around the low 20's in mpg makes since to me.

The gas mileage tracking on Edge programmers is wildly inaccurate, essentially worthless.

That is really hard to believe, I once tried to check my truck on a 100% highway miles trip and make it come out nice by driving around 65-70. I only got about 16 mpg. Your gearing, small tire size, and tuner surely help, but the 2wd 4.6 guys don't touch that mileage.

And also for what it counts.....When I set up the service manager for oil change duration on the edge every 3,000 miles I sync it up with the actual mileage on the trucks odometer. And by the time it is due for an oil change (3,000 miles later) The edge reads the same mileage as the trucks odometer in the dash displays. So its syncing with what the truck is doing pretty well.

Hey , you can doubt all you want. I said in the beginning it would be hard to believe....so I don't blame you lol. I am just telling it like it is. Like I said, I am not complaining. Was just looking to see if anyone else was lucky enough to have similar results with similar mods.

I honestly wouldn't make up something so silly as this. Its the real deal. I don't quite understand why it is so freakishly good on fuel for being what it is.....but Ill take it haha.

I just don't know. You better take a look under the hood. Someone snuck a v6 in it, and then put the 5.4l plastic shroud on it.

Gotta agree here. My 04 2wd 4.6 gets 13.5-15.5 MPG 100% bone stock with an edge evolution on level 2. My edge and hand calc are within .2 MPG normally. I don't even calc my MPG this winter it is horrible. My driving would be considered almost 100% city. My dad has an 07 5.4 and he gets 18ish highway and said he got 21 on his 500 mile trip a few months ago.

I don't see this out of reality at all. After all you said you are checking the edge's calcs with your own. And if you are driving 55MPH, yeah no problem getting that MPG's.

Way to go! enjoy it!
