I am running the SCT Livewire w/ custom tunes from VMP and I am ordering a performance tune from Troyer as well just to compare them.
The Livewire has alot of options and points of monitoring that are frankly over my head so I probably should have went with the Xcal3. It all comes down to what you want out of your Tuner.
www.powerhungryperformance.com/ for your Gryphon (edge)
http://www.troyerperformance.com for the SCT options
http://www.vmptuning.com more SCT options

Try the Edge Evolution it allows you to change your performance settings while underway. It also is a multifunction allows you to keep an eye on a ton of performance parameters. It also looks very cool mounted in your truck. Check it out here http://www.edgeproducts.com/product.php?pk=90&pvk=277.

Hypertech imo is the worst programmer for our 2004 + F150s. I've tried a few programmers and Hypertech's performance gains were almost unnoticeable in comparison to the Edge and custom/dyno tunes I have with Mike Troyer.
I had a Hypertech programmer in my 02 also and it was pretty good in that truck. That was the reason for me buying another programmer from them when I got my 05. Two months after buying it I sold it on Ebay.
The best would be custom tunes tuned for your truck.
Please explain
