White letters on tires
I was wondering if a few guys w/20" rims had the raised white lettering face out, or even on their tires? I'm thinking about doing it to my tires with one of those paint markers you can get from the local auto parts store. I like the look of raised white letters on tires, but not too sure how it would look with the 20" rims. Thanks in advance!

Nothing rattle canned
I've seen some Pirelli's and Toyo's with white letters on 20's and they looked pretty cool. Good thing with the marker is if you don't like it after you do it you can just take it off.

Do your tires not have one side with white lettering? Use an S.O.S. scrub pad from the grocery store to clean the sidewalls. You may already have the white lettering on one side but it's just too dirty to tell. You have to clean the white regularly or else it eventually blends back into the rubber color. That's also why I don't think painting the white lettering will work in the long run...it'll get dirty and you'll have to clean it and probably scrape the paint off in the process

Adding tire shine on your clean tires also collects dirt and grim. You might try wiping the shine off of the white letters if you haven't tried that. Just a thought tho.

My tires have no white lettering, inside or out. I think its hit and miss for the 20" rim size, but I could be wrong. As far as keeping the white letters clean, I've always used Wesley's Bleach White or Simple Green, and a heavy duty scrub brush. Cleans them right up, and they usually stay decently clean for a week or two.

Nice thing with the SOS pads are they're a steel wool brush with the cleaning solution mixed in with the brush. Just wet and scrub then rinse off. Done.

You'll cuse yourself the first time you scrape a curb with those white letter tires. That cannot be cleaned or fixed, even with a "white paint" type pencil. It's this reason I no longer mount the letters out.
