Default Whining noise coming from engine proportional to acceleration?

Hello everyone,

I cleaned my throttle body and air filter yesterday, and upon driving to work that evening, i noticed a whine that came when i accelerated. The more gas i gave it, the louder it got until i hit about 40mph, then it stopped. I felt this might have some thing to do with the seal around the throttle body and the mount, and the lack of a gasket. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It could be a pulley that has become worn, but seeing as it happened after you cleaned your TB, I would say it might be the seal around the air filter. It's a pretty common on our trucks - the foam 'weather seal' around the front of the tray that holds your air filter often deteriorates, causing air to squeeze through the gap and whistle as it does. If nothing else, I would at least check it to make sure.
