While I'm in there...
The cam phaser noise on my 06 is getting worse (no code yet, though), I plan on taking the more radical approach endorsed by s_vares in his thread outlining how to cure cam phaser noise.
But, since I tow a camper long distances, I'm wondering if I should change the cams themselves while I have it apart. I don't want a "performance" cam, and I don't want to give up reliability/driveability. I'd just like to climb the mountains at 60mph at 3000 rpms or lower.
Any suggestions/experiences are welcome.
