Just replaced the rack and pinion on my 2004 f150 XLT with a 2008 rack and pinion that I got from Ruppert's Truck parts in Oklahoma city. I currently have problems with the steering being very hard. I flushed all the fluid a couple times. Cleaned out the reservoir and did the back and forth up on the jack. Not sure what to do now.... Only thought is that maybe the lower shaft joints may be binding... I did notice that each time I turn the truck off and look in the reservoir there are lots of very very very small air bubbles... When the truck is running the fluid is moving around very quickly in the reservoir.
Added all the detail so hopefully someone can give me some ideas to try...

Depending on wheelbase the steering ratios are different. The longer the wheelbase, the increased (quicker turning) steering goes.
