Default Where to buy tow mirrors?

Morning yall,

Looking for a set of "power" tow mirrors for my 06xlt, where is a good place to start?

I saw a set here http://www.crashandsmash.com/2012/fo...r-with-signal/ for $239.00 plus free shipping, is that a good deal?

I tried Tasca parts, ebay, and amazon, but wanted to know what other places to check? Plus with all typs of mirrors out there, I want to know which one to STAY AWAY FROM and which one are the good ones.

Also, what does "telescoping" mean?

Thanks in advance!

Wow those look nice... I'm impressed. I saved the link as I will buy eventually. Anyone have a pic of them on the truck?

Telescoping means you can extend it further away from the truck. This would be handy with a wide trailer or a camper.

id be interested to see the price of "manual" mirrors like that. been thinking about them. Although the automatic too but not needed and could spend that extra bit towards something else.

I know tasca is a vendor on here and they have a list of prices. Don't quote me in this, but for a manual, I think I saw it for 70 each. If u google "f150 tow mirrors" there is a bunch of them for sale, none no where near 230 from that site above.

So the link above, is that what everyone has?

Thats about the right price...Another option is 1Aauto.com. This is where I got mine 6 months ago for 247.00 shipped. Also none of the tow mirrors for 04-08 are power folding. The power part just refers to the glass. Just wanted to clarify.

Thanks, I'll check out 1aAuto...is the install difficult? Or is it just plug and play?

Depends on your current setup...you will most likely have to move one of the pins in the door connector to another slot. Its not that bad. I moved the number 2 pin to the number 8 slot. The puddle lights will need to be wired in and thats a little more difficult.
