remember that its a fullsize truck weighing over 2 tons...the 5.4 was a little anemic anyway...300HP and 360TQ...just do all the routine maintenance

an edge tuner will be about the max you can do without diving into the engine

The 04-08's have always seemed like that to me. They tow fine and all that, have the numbers, but still seem like they got no ***** get up and go wise. Matter of fact, the 97-03's have always felt like they had more get up and go than the 04-08s. My opinion at least. That's the main thing that turns me off from the 11th gen,

I have found out tire size doesn't affect it, air filters don't touch it. Jut feels like it's ******* on me! I mean I can hear the power I just don't seem to feel it at the rear wheels!

also keep in mind these trucks use a drive by wire system...there is a little bit of throttle lag associated with that

Buy a 5.0, the 5.4 has a smooth power delivery.

I got an SCT programer. Any tuner is going to sharpen throttle response and change shift points, therfore allowing a better transfer of power to the road.
