On the bearing actually failing, I wish the reviewer(s) had mentioned whether or not they torqued the spindle nut to the required 295 ft lbs.

Advance Auto sells the front bearings for 2004. I know we changed them on my Dads 2001, I think we beat the old bearings out and the machine shop down the road had the new ones pressed in the same day and the truck was back on the road.

I changed the fronts to centrics on my rwd also .
It allows you to use a 4 wheel drive rotor with out removing the nut and all that on the next brake job . . You can use any 4wd rotor that fits . Buying just the hub from centrics is not much of a savings over the whole kit . It does come with new nuts which are not reusable , but people are selling used nuts on ebay . That could get very dangerous .New ones are 12- 20 bucks each .
I bought a 300 pound torque wrench on ebay to set them at 295 pounds . Most mechanics don't use one if you are counting on that .
So far I like the centrics mod it will save me money on down the line . I have a 20 ton press so if I lose a wheel bearing I will think about getting some from advanced and just changing them if its cheaper . I will have to price it out .
Even if you change a tire you need to re torque the lug nuts to 150 pounds each to prevent rotor warping . Get a torque wrench or borrow rent one .
We all learn from our failures ! But this forum helps a lot .

You can replace the bearing separately
The rotors warp anyway and usually need to be replaced at the same time
Timkin set 930 is the bearing alone
517014 is the National Bearing number
