Default Whats this noise??

I thought it sounded like the suspension but a local shop told me it was a ball bearing. They greased the ball bearings and said it would start to quiet down. But I don't know. I'm just pushing the front up and down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7CY...ature=youtu.be

Go underneath and look at all the fittings to see what is blown out. That's the only way to tell. With that noise, you will probably see something that doesn't look right or has a bit of play. My bottom bushing of my strut blew apart and made a similar noise. I just replaced the entire strut assembly as they were getting old anyways. Didn't wanna bother with replaced just a bushing on struts with 150,000 on them.

I wouldn't think ball bearing if it makes that noise when you are pushing down without moving.

Hmm they said that everything looked fine but I'll check underneath it then. My truck has 115k miles on it. When should the shocks and struts be replaced anyway??

Is the noise coming from up and down movement or lateral, side to side movement? And it definitely sounds more like a bushing, or even possibly a cracked or broken coil spring.

Well I looked underneath at everything and nothing looked abnormal or was even lose. But now the noise has stopped for whatever reason..
