yikes...lil PITA..broke the guts in the shifter trying to get it off..45 bucks for a new one..thank u ford...read a post to push down on the shifter shaft..chrome piece and lift up and off the shifter were the button is ..anyway i did this and the trigger in the housing broke . took my scoot up to ford bought a new one came home...scuffed up ring and shaft and top peice with scotch pad...painted with plastic krylon paint..replace the shifter bulb with an led from auto zone ..took green tint off glass under shifter,,,might to bright find out tonight..
