if your gonna get nittos, get just get mud grapplers! my friend has a set, dont get trerra grapplers, they suck in sand and red clay,if you like toyos, get toyo open country mud terrains, i got 15,000 miles on mine and they still got lotts of tread left, or get micky thompson baja claws

overall, if you do your research, those are the best agressive mud tires to go offroad with and drive on pavement

half them were tellin you about allterrains, but you said mud terrains right?

toyo o/c mud terrain, nitto mud grappler, m/t baja claws

Goodyear Silent Armor A/T. Had em on my last truck, used for construction and never had a flat despite all the hazards. Treadwear was very good, almost no wear after 40k miles (tires, and truck, are now somewhere in Mexico I think). Ride was great, traction awsome in rain snow and ice, but not a mud tread for sure.
Had a set of Yokohama Geolanders on before, didn't last 20k miles before wearing out. Traction was mediocre at best.
Just installed a new set of Silent Armors on my replacement F150, hopefully the thieves will let me see how long they last this time around.

can anyone recommend a good all around tire thats NOT oversized? Dont do much off-roading save for the beach, but i do drive in snow a bit.

BTW, which size do ya'll think would be better, 285/65r18 (32.6/11.2) or 275/70r18 33.1/10.8)? Either size will fit.
I went with the 275/70/18, in the Nittos. I cant remember now, but its either or...but toyo makes nittos. Or is it the other way around? I cant remember.

Oh yea, as I was rating my tires yesterday, I went back to work today from the doctors office, and I ran out to put my new moonroof switch in, and my rear tire is almost on the ground. So i pulled it into quick lube, and find a 1/4 bolt stuck in the tire. Good thing I have road hazard cuz I was told the plug may not hold. We shall see over the next few days. I really like these tires though

I run 285/18 on my F150 and they are BFG K/O's, love the look and they work pretty good for what I drive on. Snow/wet and the mud seems to be average.

Default New Hankooc

I just put Hancook Dynapros on my '08 stock "screw" today.
Lt 285/70 R17
Look great and ride great so far. Found a bit of packed snow to try and they were fine. No lift or level on my truck and they fill the wheelwell just right IMO

I'll add some pics later tonight

Im on my second set of Cooper Discoverer STs and I will get another when they wear out. I got around 50,000 miles from my first set and have 35,000 on the set I have now with plenty of tread left. A little rough but nothing too bad.
