If you go to any forum and ask the same question, you'll get similar answers. Asking what kind of oil to run is like asking a guy if he likes thick girls or skinny girls. Neither answer is wrong. I answered your question, run what you'd like.

EDIT: I googled 5w30 f150 and got this on the first page. Your exact same question.

Not trying to be rude, but it just gets old having the same discussion about oil every week. We're just a cranky forum.

Well that's just it, we're really not. Everyone has that "moment" on a new forum where the other members facepalm. We get it. That's why I just ask "did you search?"

From the OP "169,000 miles and no issues". Theres your answer, keep using what you have been, seems to be working.

As to the name calling, its okay, we all focus our inner teenager once in a while. I prefer "truthful and to the point" over "rude @$##!&$\! £=£×*!*÷**". Have a good evening.

Why is it that those who are offended by repeated questions find it necessary to reply? It would take less effort on your part to simply move on and not reply.

Lets remember, this site is for all members, new and old. Many are buying these year ranged trucks for the first time, and joining forums such as this one for the first time.

And so they need to be educated on the proper forum use. As in... Use the search function and do your own work before posting a dead horse question.

I think it's mostly because this particular question always incites a riot that the users are tired of having.
