Here was my deal on my truck

$30,155.00 sticker price
$26,741.90 D-plan
-$6000 combined rebates
-$5,550 trade value
---------
$15,191.90 trade difference

My trade in was a 97 F-150 regular cab 2wd XLT with 99,000 miles on it and I got into a supercab XLT with the chrome package

So I am happy with my deal

Unless you are getting A plan it is not a true employee deal. What they do when they offer "employee price" for everyone is let you see the A plan discount, but offer less rebates. There should be some room to bargin unless your going axz or d. I would agree with crazy on making the offer, probably going to have to meet in the middle though. 25% off msrp is in no way a bad deal and a lot better than your going to get on a 09. Ford is cutting 2 shifts for the 09 so they wont have to keep selling trucks dirt cheap. Also ford credit's rates suck, but you can keep the cash and refinance. I got $500 on my Ford Escape for financing with Ford Credit, only kept the loan 3 days, lowered my rate by 3.1%. They will probably tell you that you have to keep the loan 90 days or longer because the dealer wont get their cut if you refinance before 90 days.

Not exactly,
I work for a Ford/Mazda dealer.A-plan price for everyone is exactly that A-plan price. But they can charge you the administration fee since you don't have a pin #,The dealer gets the holdback and there is a stairstep program that pays the dealers back a small amount to recover the finance charge incurred by having the vehicles in the floor plan.I would agree that Ford's rates are not the best but I got 7.19% for 72 months on mine and nobody locally could touch that,I shopped around for a refinance option and no one could beat that and I have over a 700 credit score.

You can refinance after the first payment in KS,it is different in other states though.

Yes but the rate I got is very good in the state of KS,in other parts of the country it is a terrible rate, especially when you consider the economy.

i don't know man the truck your looking at is a good deal i'm not a fan of the 09 platnium or XLT but the new FX4 looks ****ing badass and i think the truck could only be better i mean stricker emissions suck yeah but you got better options for alternatives fuels which if your financing this truck for awhile you gotta consider and the fact that the 09 probably gets better fuel mileage, save up to lift it when you get it how bad *** would it be to have the first big 09 FX4

I may be a little off, A plan is a set price on the invoice, figured they were just offering less rebates so they could start at that price. Since you work at a dealer djquick, did the employee price deal really drop the price some on off the street is going to pay vs the rebates and such they were offering last month. I know after 9-11 they had a employee price deal and actualy stopped A-plan for a while. 765 credit and Ford hit me with 7.99 on a 60 month loan. State Farm Bank shot me 4.89 on a 48, little better.

Back to the truck though, if the new ones do get any better milage it wont be my more than a mile or two. Is it worth 8-10 grand for 2mpgs? The 08 is a great truck, the 09 has some awsome features I wont post. If you have the $$ there is no wrong decision here. If 31K already has the wife rolling her eyes take the good deal.

Another trick, I have refinanced with the same bank before. After a year refinance your 60 to a 48 and you get a lower rate because it is a shorter term loan. Most banks charge higher rates for each year over 3.
