Any high quality struts that anyone recommends?

Or just buy OEM replacements from an auto parts store?

I hate to be that guy but just to let everyone know our trucks have coil overs like techrep said. not struts. struts don't have upper control arms as they act in place of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the strut was a just a PART of the coil over. Like the Bilstein 5100 is a replacement STRUT for the coil over assembly.

the names for the two get thrown around and missused a lot they look pretty much the same but there is a huge difference in how they function by being the strut controls the wheel much like the way an upper control arm would. the majority of the time you find struts in cars and coil overs are in trucks. to answer your question about 5100 series they are sold in both shocks (what we have) and struts (what we don't have). both have coils but it is how they mount to either a lower control arm or a knuckle that defines them.
