Default What size shim?

I'm installing a 2" drop shackle on the rear of my 2006 screw King Ranch. I've read some people say install a shim, others say don't, but I havnt found anything saying the size of the shim. Does anyone know if I actually need a shim? and if so, what size.

Didn't say if your's was a 4x or 2x. On my 2006 4x4 supercab I just removed the 2" blocks between the axle & spring to lower the rear, didn't use the shackles. Anyway, I have no driveline vibration and did not use any shims.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with just a 2" drop, unless you're getting driveline vibration??? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. I've got a 4" drop in the rear of my 02 and don't get any d-line vibrations.

For what it's worth, most are 2 degree shims.

I ordered some DJm rear shackels for my 2004 f150 screw 4x2 and installed them this weekend. It did cause a driveline vibration between 20-30 mph. I sent an e-mail to Stylin and they are sending me the 2 degree pinion wedges.
