Default What size pipe with exhaust?

I have a 50 series that I want to get installed. Should I just use my stock piping or get a bigger size. What size if I should go bigger?

Thank you in advance for any and all help

If you just want the sound keep the stock 2.5" piping but if you want better performance go with a full 3" from the Y pipe or 2.5" true duals.

2.5 inch dual is capable of handling 700 hp.

I heard that if I upgrade the size pipe my MPG's will be hurt badly. Is that just hearsay? It looks like I will be running SI/SO of the passenger side right in front of the rear tire....I love that look. Will pipe size matter if I'm going with that look or does it even matter?

it depends on what size inlet and outlet your muffler has.

3" would be best but 2.5" would be fine. Which is the stock size pipe.

Unless you are installing headers with 1 and 7/8 pipes and 3" pipe from front to back its a waste of money to put 3" on it. 2.5 is stock and if you are removing the cats and replacing it from the Y back 2.5 is perfect.
