Default what size leveling kit

I have a 2004 f150 4x4, took a measurement and it sits 2 1/4" lower in the front. I want to add a auto spring leveling kit and a procomp AAL to the truck. What size leveling kit do you think I should go with a 2" or 2.5"? and maybe someone can answer my question with the AAL it says it raises the back 1.5 to 2.5" what does it usually raise the rear of the trucks up?

i dont know about the AAL, but i have a two inch pro comp and i like it. i wish i had a 2.5 or 3 but i can live with it, one thing i did notice. when ever im goin through parkin lots or making turns at idle speed, there is a strange sound that sounds like the tires are burning out. i have no idea what it is, maybe a bushing or somethin

Go with 2.5 and.see where u end up. Should be close to level. If u end up nose high worry about the rear. 04-05 have different rear leaf packs and.require more of a level then 06-08. Get 2.5 and then add aal, rear blocks or air bags if necessary.

jerrybizzle Well if I go with a 2.5" level I know I will be nose high cause the rear is currently only 2.25" higher, so do u suggest still going with a 2.5" leveling kit?

.25 of an inch will not be noticeable. I think when they are slightly higher in front they look better. 2 inches you could tell but not that much.

Did you get an alignment after the kit was installed?--Do you see any wear on the edges of the tires? I put a 2 1/2" on and no issues so far-even wear w/1000 or so miles and no squealing.

My 06 is level with the 2 inch measured from top of tire to wheelwell, but if u look at it from the side the back appears a tad higher. With yours being an 04 and having a 2.25 inch measurable rake, I think u will be better off with the 2.5. As for the aal, I see your interested in a pro comp version. If u are set on the aal, u will get a decent amount of rake back. Do u tow a lot? If not, like I mentioned before, I would get the kit and see where u end up, may not be nose high. If u do for sure want the aal, autospring sells combo kits on eBay and their website at autospringcorp.com. Good guys. I live 15 minutes from them so had them do the install and alignment.

Yea that is true I probably won't notice a .25" difference I'll probably go with the 2.5" then. And no I really don't tow that much just a few times a year to stick my boat in a during snowmobile season.
