Default What route to go with my exhaust?

I am a pretty committed Flowmaster guy. I love the tone of their products. I plan on doing a true dual exhaust set up (having the y pipe cut.) The exhaust will exit straight out the rear with angled tips. Should I go with
1.) DI/DO Super 40 Muffler
or
2.)2 SI/SO Mufflers and an X or H pipe?
5.4 3V

Example of Option 1

Example of Option 2

I would say you should do option 2 with the X-pipe as your crossover. Which mufflers would you use for that one? The Super 10?

I'd say super 40s. I think dual super 10s would be too much for an everyday driver.

Have you looked into MAC mufflers? They are a chamberd muffler like flowmaster but, don't have the hollow echo in the sound. A X will be quieter than a H crossover..... I think ether way your gonna loose low end TQ

Even with 2.5" I'll have noticeable torque loss?

After researching some more I think I'm going to go with the super 44. I remember drone headaches when I had the 40 series long ago.

I had a borla on a truck once and I really didn't like it. It sounded too much like a European car, but maybe it was just the way I had it set up.
