What is this part from my transmission?
Was dropping my tranny pan to change the filter and this fell out. What is it and where does it go. Thanks for the help

Can't see the pic, but if it's a little plug with an o-ring, it's used to plug the dipstick hole during assembly, and is punched into the pan when the dipstick is installed. You can pitch it.

I'm not sure what it is, but it's used in the assembly process and is no longer needed after it's built. They all have these laying in the tranny pan when you pull it off the first time. You can toss it.
