I used to put Full Synthetic Mobil 1 5W20 in my 05 5.4.
Just had a recent oil service on my 08 5.4, used Full Synthetic 5W30

Whatever full synthetic is on sale. Usually Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum or Castrol Edge.

How much is Motorcraft synthetic? I already go to the dealer for motorcraft filters, if the oil is as good as people say then I might as well save myself an extra trip and get everything there.

Why switch brands of oil. Stick with one brand of oil. It's not good to keep changeing oil brands

Nothing wrong with switching oil brands IMO, however, I do agree with sticking with oem for most parts.
