What next CAI or Exhaust???

mine are still stock, i wanted the mpg's over power, 17mpg on the highway is awesome. for 35's 4.56's or 4.88's are the way to go...35's and 4.56's are like a stock truck
i have regeared my other trucks, just not this one...i had 4.56's and 33's in my silverado...smoke 'em at will. good thing i had 305/70/16's on there....i melted a couple sets every summer oh how i miss that silverado
re-gearing for those who don't know, put your rpm range back in the power curve, bigger tires throw it off and you trans won't live as long, it's overcycled from constant shifting. now, if you drive easy and use light gas pedal pressure, you can lessen your shifts. i drove f150's with 3.73's & 35's and they are decent IMO

Thanks Guys...
ATOM - Im looking for MPG's over power too because most of my driving is on the HWY. Are you saying Id be better to regear to 4.56's to get better MPG?

lower gears, lessen the engine rpm at cruising speeds, hence better fuel...if you want more power, then regear....IMO spening money on air intake, exhaust isn't worth the coin, unless you get a custom dyno tune with it....but that's just my previous experiences with it

If you want better Mileage and drive on the highway alot keep the gears you have. If you do mostly around town driving you would be better off with 4.56's
