What makes AC not cool at all at idle on startup, but fine when driving?

A Warranty can cover AC failure, but this problem is not really a failure. It has to do with the AC not being cold at idle conditions.
Check your warranty paperwork to see what coverage you have. Factory warrantys are different from those you buy on a used vehicle for example, and have different coverage levels.
