Ok i get what your saying.I have the jump seat,and the ashtray/cupholder combo.But dammit whats my compartment right below it used for????i sure as hell cant put anything in it cause everytime i try,it just comes out when i brake,or go over a bump.

i was gonna try and mount my compact cb cobra radio in their.Just got it today.So we will see.

its used as a filler piece, can't really use it with no lip, i have seen people add a lip to it though

what do you mean by "jump" seat, ive got a middle seat in my STX that folds down and is a arm rest, that doesnt open up for storage like ive seen and i dont have the ashtray or cupholders that you speak of??

you are special, because your truck is a stx, you get left out and just get the cubby...now this a hit and miss, i have seen variations, if it's done at production or the dealer, i do not know

get some fiberglass and you can make a compartment in that area for anything you desire.....

Way ahead of you on that one.it popped into my head about a lip.it wont be fiberglass,but it wil be a staneless steel metal lip that i am going to use.Hey i work ina metal shop,its free,lol

Anybody know a good site on how to fiberglass correctly? because I am almost done with designing a switch panel that will slide in and out of this useless compartment, and I want to fiberglass it and have it look like the plastic molding around it.

if it turns out nice, ill post the pics and blueprints --- autocad 2010 is the s**t

I have a XLT 05 4x4 5.4 and have the fold down arm rest and I have the same empty wasted space there also.
