Is there an extra antenna on your truck, maybe it's for a cb radio or something. Like 60drb said was there anything connected to it?

Nothing was connected to it. It was just inserted in the plug in. I thought it might have been connected to something so took off the trim panel and all that was their was the plug in for the CIG lighter

Its a VHF radio connector. The previous owner probably got rid of the antenna and radio(because you need to be certified to use one), and also because he didn't have anything to fill the hole with.

I guess you can find something to fill the panel. I would suggest some fog, driving, and back up light switches hehe
