borla is always the best yet always more expensive. i put a flowmaster super10 muffler on my truck and got 2.5" duals straight out the back. got it for like $400 shipped from truckexhaustkits.com but the pipes were horribly bent and i had to bend half of them again to fit right, and they still dont fit right.. but i highly recommend the super 10 muffler, and get meineke to make pipes for u.

oo and the muffler is like $80 lol

I have an 06 4.6 supercrew. Want an exhaust not an loud exhaust just a better one. Is your muffler an 18"? 20" or 22". Just curious. Not looking. For head rumble in 40 just looking for nice. .

I have a 07 4.6 with flow 40s. Quiet at idle but a deep mean roar when you step on it.

I just measured it and it is 12 inches, most likely why it's so loud, the shorter the muffler the louder it is. I believe the Borla I had on my old truck was 20 inches but I don't really remember. However, I do know it was not as short as the one I have now. Maybe I might just buy a longer magnaflow.

And mine are also cut off under the cab, think about running it in front of the rear passenger tire.
