I would look for one with a 5.4. The 4.6 is underpowered in a heavy truck like that one.

I think my 4.6 does just fine, I have never driven a 5.4L but, I have towed some heavy things with my 4.6 and it does pretty well I think.

These threads are dangerous....like butts, everyone has an opinion on what to buy, what something is worth, what options should be had, the list can go on.

Bottom line: you know what you're looking for in a truck. Once that's determined, check your local newspapers, check the online links like Kelly Blue book, etc. to obtain the average selling price for the vehicle you want with options you want based on year, mileage, and condition.

Then buy. If you ask here, you'll get opinions; albeit ones that will take you up, down, and everywhere inbetween.

I think its opinions are like butts, everyone has one and they all stink.

If your buying this truck to be a daily driver, go for it. If your gonna use it as a work truck, try to find something with the 5.4 drivetrain.

Its a nice truck. Hope you get it for a low price. Try kelly blue book or black book.

GoodLuck.

And say what you want. My 4.6 has enough giddy up.
