If you can afford a supercharger you can buy an early 90's camaro or mustang with a v8 cheaper and run 130+ easy

Something else to add would be a tonneau cover.
What is this track you're running? Is it just for fun or a truck class? Otherwise tdg0830 would be right, you can run a lot faster a lot easier with an old camaro/mustang

It is just for fun. I go out about once a month with some of my other truck friends. I'd just like to increase the top speed a little. The Whipple looks good. How does it compare to the Roush supercharger though?

It kicks its ***!!! Not trying to start a flame war either. Do some research. Twin screw blowers hands down out perform. Boost is instant parasitic loss is far less and discharge temps are lower. The Whipple kit comes with everything you need to install it as does the Roush kit. One thing i like is not having to send my computer off for Roush to tune it. Whipples kit comes with a flash tool and program ready to go.
Here is some more info. http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/ge...romcatalog.pdf

Sounds more like you don't have the tuner set up right. Have you reset the rev limiter? If not, the truck is not going to run any faster no matter what you add to it. FWIW, with the right chip that eliminates the rev limiter, a stock 5.4 or a 4.6 will run in the numbers you're trying to achieve. My 4.6 is a SCrew completely stock but I've eliminated the factory rev limiter and use the factory chip with no other mods. My truck will run will run 128 mph on 87 octane gas. For short bursts of speed, your tires are probably not an issue but if you intend to run any distance at speed, you'll need to change tires. Avoid any heat buildup in the tires and your current tires should be fine.
