Chive So Hard
It's been a minute since I have posted anything but I'll try to fill y'all in. Last week I left Ohio for good and went to my hometown for some much needed r&r. The trip totalled just over 1000 miles and the calculated average I got was around 17mpg. Those numbers made me extremely happy but my ac went out in southern Alabama and now I gotta look into that. I'm really hoping it's just the relay but we shall see. After the time back home, I drove another 400 miles to my new home in St Petersburg Florida and absolutely love it here. I know she's not the most outstanding truck of her kind but she was already getting compliments. This upcoming weekend, I will be joining up with a local show truck group and continuing the build with them. All is looking well for me and the King Ranch.

We got about 1.5 inches of rain last night. Went out this am and the headliner and back seat were soaked. So today I fixed the gasket around the third brake light. I hope thats the only leak.

put a couple of these ^
and a couple of these v
on the big white toolbox, because the internal latch was sub Yugo quality. rather more involved than you might think, if you never tried it.
fabricated a GPS mount, cut up a cigarette lighter USB power supply to rewire as a GPS power supply
fabricated CB and ham radio antenna mounts for the toolbox. they look terrible, but the antennas don't move.
put an ARB air compressor under the hood.
put a console vault, a Fort Knox Auto Pistol box and a stainless steel J box in the interior.

Here's pic of before I detailed it. Yes, the front bumper is fubar atm.
Apparently, this was the first clay bar across this thing....
Note: The image with the clay bar was taken AFTER a two bucket wash, and AFTER I dried it with an absorber. Notice the difference in the driver's side and passenger's side. Clay bar my friends. Clay bar.

Installed a Kenwood DDX372, along with new Clarion front and rear speakers and wired up a back up camera this past weekend.
Lucky for me, my neighbor sells this stuff for a living and has done many installs and was a HUGE help. Came across a couple hiccups primarily with the camera, but its all good now.
Oh and the sound is 1000x better
