the new radio in last night. Pictures will come later this weekend. Still just so amazed at how much better the truck is after the timing job! It almost like a new engine! More responsive, no rough idle, no diesel knock, and best of all better MPG!

Great news Kevin! I hate it when my truck is outside and storms are imminent.

Today, I removed my-roll up tonneau cover and installed a new tri-fold. Maybe the bed will stay dry now, maybe. It didn't change the looks.

Had 2 packages waiting for me when I got home. First was Sylvania ZEVO 3157 red LED taillight bulbs, just installed them. They sure make the light transmitted very red! In the other package was a used centercap that I bought because I lost a faux lugnut, so now I have 5 spares. Took one faux lugnut off and installed that onto my existing centercap and then I put my change holder back where my oil pressure gauge was. I had to add material to the coin holder since I had to dremel out the hole, but you cant tell. Overall very happy with all this. Just waiting now on my running board and it will be back to 100%!

Pics of the LEDs? And what happened to your running boards?

BTW I bought some Penetrol from lowes today. $10 a quart. Might get around to throwing some on this weekend.

They are just ZEVO 3157 taillight bulbs, I can get pics tomorrow night.

I had a mysterious ghost put a 2 foot long scratch on my passenger running board a year ago. I touched it up, but it really needs a repaint to look perfect. No kids are owning up to doing it.......

Please let me know how the Penetrol works. What are you degreasing/prepping with?

I'd guess you are going to use the penetrol on your plastics?

I'd like to know how it turns out. It is a really good product and I've used it many times (along with it's water based counterpart flotrol) but never for plastic restoration although I am aware that it has been used for this purpose.

I've used it several times to bring back the shine on bass boats that were faded and the gel coat almost gone with absolutely amazing results. It also lasted way beyond what I had anticipated.

The stuff has lots of uses that most are unaware of. Post some pics if you get a chance of the before and after and update if it lasts and meets your expectations if in fact your intent is to use it on faded plastic.

Good luck and I hope it works well for you!

I am going to clean the plastic with trisodium phosphate (TSP). Probably the best degreaser out there. It will take off the white marks wax leaves on plastic parts that seem impossible to get rid off. Also used it to clean my jeep before bedlining the interior and man did it cut through some crud.

Yes I will be using it for my plastic. I have read nothing but great things about it. I have read that it is used to treat rusty metal as well. Seems like a miracle product if it can do all that.
