Make sure you wetsand and use heavy coats of clear to get more shine.

I new about putting on heavy coats of clear, but I wasnt sure about the wetsanding.

wet sand using water (make sure it stays wet!) and 2000 grit sandpaper inbetween all coats including clear. obviously not on your last coast of clear heres how mine came out. 3 coats of night shade, 4 coats of clear
the third brake light I did three coats, the taped off the center and did 3 more coats to black the rest out, so the brake light shines througn and the rest is dark.

i did niteshades, clear, and wet sand/buff. i used an automotive grade clear.

I think Im going to go with 2 coats, because 3 looks too dark. But they do look good. I wanted to do it myself because I can tape off the reverse light.

What up dude.... I live in ND as well. I did the night shades thing to my tails and 3rd brake light. I holds up really good in this insanely retarded cold weather we have here. If you look in my profile you can see them. I put on 3 really light coats and about 7 clear coats.

i forget the brand, ill check when i return from out of town. Wetsanding can only take you so far, buffing brings out the true luster and clarity.

how often do you buff? inbetween clear coats? only on the last clear coat? what kind of buffing wheels are used? im gonna take this mod on.
