Default What is the best HID headlight kit?

Not familiar with these but I really like them. I just don't know enough about them to know what the best ones are out there. Don't want to put my $ on junk so I came to the experts who will know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

DDM tuning makes a very nice kit. I have 8000k HIDs for my headlights and fog lights. 8000k is a light blue bulb.

4000k is a yellow white
5000k is white
6000k will be bright white with a hint of blue.
8000k is light blue
10000k is blue
12000k is very blue almost purple.

I reccommend 6000k or 8000k. They are the brightest. The more blue the bulb is, the less bright it will be.

The search. This topic has to be by far the most asked one on this forum. There are hundreds of opinions you can read through to obtain your own (opinion).

This and also use a projector designed for hids. Keep in mind the higher the color temp, the less usable light, less lumens, and the less you will see in the rain/snow/fog.

Contrary to most popular belief...

The human eye... (and also in terms of output lumens) see 4300K has the HIGHEST output of light.

Also.. a high quality bulb which DOESNT use shield tinting.... 4300 is also seen as PURE WHITE

None of the OEM manufacturers run higher then 5000k (mercedes, BMW etc.....)
6000 is almost way to blue for me... (again if you use a good bulb... DDM's are......okay I guess but)

8000k will flirt with getting you pulled over....10,000k... plan on it.

I installed a DIODE DYNAMICS kit at 4300k w/ digital 35w ballasts and relay kit......

First.. diode dyanmics was awesome to work with (paul the owner is great!).... 2nd.... it came out perfect.....

To blue and you might as well put a civic badge on your truck.....

Retrosolutions.com or might be retro-solutions.com, went to them for true 55w baast AND 55W bulb kit in my headlights and fog lights, insanely bright!!!! More expensive of a kit than DDM but much higher quality than the DDM kits all my friends have in their trucks
