Default What is this?

I dropped the pan on my 2007 Lincoln Mark LT and found this in the fluid at the bottom of the pan. I don't know if it fell before or after the filter removal. Help?

Don't worry...throw it away.

It's a plug that they put in at the factory during assembly. It gets pushed in with dipstick at final assembly.

97-03 have the same thing.

It's your semi-valid proof that your transmission has never been worked on.
