Weird noise

I will try that again but it does not make the noise (from what I remember) on idle or when reving the engine in park.

Default thought mine was only one that does it!

My 04 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 5.4L does it too in cold weather. Starts at about 20 degreest F. Then it only last about 2 seconds at start up. It has been about 5-10 degrees now. It lasts about 10 seconds at startup now. It is more of a whirring noise. Now that I read other people describing it as an alternator noise, it does sound like it. But I couldn't be for sure. Just another problem that everyone has, that Ford won't recognize and/or fix!
