OK, walking into the room with head lowered, it was the battery.

I cleaned the ground connections at the chassis and block. As noted earlier I had already replaced the ignition switch and solenoid. And as of the last week I haven't been able to get the truck started at all.

So by now I thought maybe the battery was dead too, it hasn't been above freezing here for several days. So I got out my charger/testor. The testor told me after 10 minutes I had a short in a cell. Well I took the battery back to the store. The battery was only 9 months old, so they gave me a new one after checking it there and told me the same thing, shorted cell. I never had a battery fail quite like this before.

I haven't actually put the battery in yet. It is cold outside, late and dark. I'll let ya'll know tomorrow maybe if everything seems good.

Thanks Ftruck05, maybe i'll listen better next time.
