That is one sign of a leaking heater core. It's behind the dash on the passenger side, and when it starts to leak, it usually goes into the passenger side floor on the carpet. Is his windshield digging up unnecessarily? Is there fog coming out of the vents? Can he smell antifreeze in the cab? All signs of a leaking heater core.

Heater cores are fun to change.... Hoping it is something other than that for your sake!

This. Been a known issues on some trucks. I don't think the heater core will be clean and clear water. Check your drain. Sounds like it's coming into the cab.

thanks guys. i would think ac condensation as there are no signs of it being heater core. the water is crystal clear like drinking water. i actually had him ask mom if she spilled a water bottle on the floor since it was so clear.

its tucked in there pretty good you can crawl under the passenger side and see it its a little nub that sticks out the firewall behind the exhaust manifold. ford sells an elbow for around 18 bucks that is supposed to fix the problem. I pulled the passenger inner fender well and disconnected the trans dipstick bracket to get to it. I also put a layer of water proof tape over the insulation which was deteriorating from getting soaked.

This is the best way to get to it... did mine last year when I found clear water under my floor mat. there is a TSB on this...
