Talk to your dealer.. A cold air intake is a good mod. Catback exhaust. Neither one should void your warranty.

The way I understand warranty to work is unless the MOD causes a problem they cannot void your warranty. A dealer can be a dick and just say the mod caused the problem if they want to though.

yep ngm is correct. most dealers want to be a ***** about things. But the rules are that if the mod did not cause the problem then it is covered. Howver it may be up to you to prove this. These dealers have more play in the system than they want you to believe. The only bad thing is that they do have to actually have a bad part to send back to ford. IF ford finds the part not defective then they charge the dealer. Not sure about ford but even with gm you have 30 days after the warranty has expired and can still use it... as long as mileage isnt way over.

Exactly. You're covered under the Magnuson-Moss warranty act.

(found this portion on the web)
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) .
