Default Warped Wiper Vent Tray--Fix?

I did a search, but wasn't sure what to call it. That piece of plastic trim that runs the length of the windshield right below the wipers??--it's two halfs.

My left side is bowed up and gets worse in the winter. It's rattling and drving me nuts. I think that this is a common problem on 04-08's.

Does anyone have a fix? I can't seem to get the left half to lay flat and secure against the right half......tried to get the tabs to line up but no go?

I had the same problem. Took my truck to the dealer for an oil change and for no reason they fixed the wiper cowl. Hasn't popped back up since. I'm afraid to touch it, don't want the problem back

those are the top cowel's I ordered from Josh at Tasca
for my 2007 they were:
4L3Z-15022A69-AA $58.14

4L3Z*15022A68*BA $62.47

Total comes to $120.61 + $20 S/H = $140.61 Shipped.

There is a service bulletin referring to this issue. The fix is to drill a small hole in both plastics and attach them with a sheet metal screw. I used a zip-tie instead because it was easier and you cant even see it under the weatherstripping.

I also have the same problem on my 08 screw. I took it back to the dealer under warranty they did something to it. It was all right for a week Mabey. Took it in again and never got any where. I thought about gluing it down with 5200 marine adhesive, but wasn't sure if the cowel would ever need to be taken off? If any one has found a good solution I'd love to hear it.

Same here stays down perfectly till I drove it the come right back up. Considering buying a wiper cowl and forgetting about it.

Only thing it ever needs removed for is a broken windshield
