You won't regret a supercharger purchase... From 2k to 5k supercharging is not hard, or extremely expensive.

I've just recently bolted a whipple kit on my truck with great success, total price tag was $3500 installed by me. That price Includes all upgrades, accessories, and modifications I made to the kit.... Worth every penny!

Ok so here is my question. Truck is getting the supercharger this week. (Fingers crossed) I got a call this morning about the whole job I'm getting done. if I combined the supercharger with the long tube headers would the bottom half of the motor be able to handle it? They are telling me no and that I should just stick with short tube headers. I'm confused. I can't get an answer to this. Please help. Thanks

What are the specs on your supercharger kit? If it's the base whipple kit then your looking at 8psi of boost. This will not do anything negative to your bottom end..
As for long tubes... Do them!
They also will not harm your engine. Your supercharger will flow better with them.. Short tubes are not a complete waste, they will flow slightly better than stock, but they are not worth the money.. If your going to do the headers, then go with long tubes.
Dynatec, and stainless works make great headers, and OBX makes decent headers cheap for these trucks.. There is also pace setter headers, but they are bottom of the barrel for whats available..
Don't forget to get a wideband 02 installed when you do those headers. Might as well throw a boost guage in while your at it..
