Dead Pedals are used as a brace during aggressive driving. Most people don't drive their trucks that way. It shouldn't be to hard hard to fab something up if you really want it.

If you do put something in, don't use a 2x4....Try something like a larger version of a door stop. Something with a slope to it and made of rubber or plastic.

Similar to this:

Must be something erganomic (spelling) to it; my wifes BMW has one too.

I never really gave it much thought until this thread. Perhaps it helps in preventing fatige?

It may have something to do with our trucks not coming with manual transmissions, I thought dead pedals were for resting the clutch foot.

You may want to look at one out of a Mustang, here's the first thing that came up on ebay, looks like you could retrofit it to the F150 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=130329124748

^ lol links to a removed item

i was thinking of getting the roush deadpedal for the mustang and just using that. and ya i think it is just in some automatic cars since they put it in the manual version. i am pretty sure its mostly for manual cars, when the foot for the clutch is "dead"
